Washtenaw Non-Profits – Project Insight

This was a fairly straightforward project: take a “Web 1.0” static html site that had served well for almost ten years, and bring it up to speed with today’s mobile and responsive web. To keep costs down, the free theme SmartAdapt was used. For user-friendliness on the back end, we used the plugins Display Widgets, Black Studio TinyMCE, and MimeTypes Link Icons. The former two to easily customize sidebars without needing to do custom coding, and the latter to make it easier to “prettify” download links for files like PDF’s. When you upload a common file type, MimeTypes Link Icons adds the correct icon, the file name, and file size for you!
